Healthy Snack – Kids Edition

With all of the munchies that are going to be lingering around your home, make sure to take some time for some healthier ideas for the kids.

1. SNACK MIX – instead of an original Chex Mix, grab some peanuts, plain popcorn, dried bananas, dried apricots, whole grain cheerios and mix it all up for a healthier version of chex mix. Don’t add in the M&Ms or skittles – those are there to attract the children, my son goes STRAIGHT for the candies!

2. Fruit & Cheese Skewers – Cut up some different fruit options (and if you have some time, cut them into different shapes) and cheese and use unsalted pretzel sticks and make fun fruit & cheese skewers for the kids!

3. Peanut Butter & Celery is ALWAYS a hit at our house, and spice it up with the raisins for a classic “ants on a log”
