I may be a little late to the game on this, but the kids and I finally had a chance to have some fall fun. The weather was a little sketchy and we had to bounce around between incoming rain showers & bundle up, but the kids had a fun afternoon.
First stop, obligatory photos in front of the hay bales. #Wink. It really is difficult to get these kids to pretend for 5 minutes that they love each other and can take a photo together.
Next up, the corn maze. I am not exactly a corn maze fan. I tend to let my mind race through a million scenarios beginning with: how do I get out of here? All the way to, I feel like we’ve been in here for an hour. There were 5 marked posts hidden within the corn maze that we were supposed to find and mark on the map for an entry into a prize raffle and yet we didn’t find a single one. That was 100% fine with me because I just wanted these kids to lead me back out to the barn where we started as fast as possible.
A trip to the farm is never complete without saying hello to the animals. We had a chance to meet 3 adorable goats (the brown and white was almost stuffed in my purse to go home with us!) and 2 calves named Kyle & William.
The tractor took us on a hayride through the woods property. Unfortunately it was fairly crammed on that bumpy ride and I didn’t get any photos of the gorgeous colors in the woods. We finished the afternoon off with a little pumpkin choosing, hot chocolate & apple cider.
Late is better than never on the fall festivities and now we can look forward to Halloween & hunkering down to start winter! (Yep, snow flurries are already in the forecast and we haven’t even tricked or treated yet!).
