Eat Clean – Lose Belly Fat

by Monday, April 18, 2011

In only 2 weeks, I have managed to drop down 3 pounds by changing ONLY what I’m eating on a daily basis. You may be thinking, well that doesn’t really seem like that much, but you must remember I am totally satisfied with the number on the scale. I need to tone and tighten now. After having 2 kids, my problem area is and probably always will be my midsection (abs and core!). I really needed to focus on my own advice and start eating more clean and cut out the processed yuck! So yes, in 2 weeks, 3 pounds down, just by changing my eating habits (minus the Oreos that I ate last night, it was a treat!!!). Here is for example my day today:
Breakfast: 1 cup Kashi Go Lean Crunch w/a cup of skim milk
Snack: 1 cup of fresh strawberries
Lunch: Flat Out Healthy Grain Flat Out Bread w/1 can light tuna and lettuce with a side of raw celery
Snack: 1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology with tsp of natural PB blended with ice & water
Dinner: Steamed broccoli w/grilled chicken and a small side of whole wheat pasta
I will honestly never fully give up my pasta – but I eat it in moderation so it’s okay. But that’s just my one thing that I will never go without. Nevertheless all of this together is my day. You have noticed I’m not going to give you the nutrition or calorie count on these items (and if you want to know them, look them up!) but I’m not counting calories anymore. Even I drive myself crazy counting calories – that does not mean that I am not mindful of the amount that is in something that I eat, but I’m not counting and adding up all day long. I’m focusing on eating cleaner and ready to kiss my midsection belly fat goodbye!

Thanks for this post! I sometimes don’t even know “where to begin” with transforming my diet…so this really helps!

This morning, decided to eat clean for the rest of the week. Sunday Funday: Easter Edition, really did me in. It’s cool to see your success with eating clean. Thanks for sharing!
