Country Heat Review & Results

While in Nashville in July for our annual Team Beachbody Coach Summit, trainer Autumn Calabrese (creator of the 21 Day Fix & 21 Day Fix Extreme) launched a brand new Beachbody home workout called Country Heat. Seems fitting for Nashville right? Put on the brakes though because this is NOT, I repeat not, a line-dancing workout. Super fun dancing? Yes, but not a kick back your feet line-dancing program. I just finished up my very first round and I’m ready to share my Country Heat Results & Review.

My Country Heat Review

August 1st I pressed play on my very first Country Heat workout and was not quite sure what to expect.   I love country music and I love dancing, so I assumed that this was going to be my new favorite workout (not sure how it would compare to PiYo but it would be up there). Still, I wasn’t sure if it was going to be enough to keep me moving and keep me excited day to day.

Country Heat is a beginner to intermediate program. Autumn Calabrese combines country music and easy to follow choreography set to 8 counts to create a cardio that’s fun with some hidden abs & legs work to complete an amazing program. The workouts are approximately 30 minutes a day and 6 days a week (some days include an additional dance conditioning workout for an additional 23 minutes). The program includes 5 cardio dance workouts, 1 dance conditioning (plus bonus workout when purchased from a coach like myself), and a 30-day workout schedule to keep the guesswork out of your plan. In addition to all of this, Autumn has included her simple to follow and simple to learn portion control nutrition guide with color coded containers.

Country Heat Review & Results

Truthfully, it’s been a couple of months since I was really focused on completing a program and following a nutrition guide (hey, summer is tempting in more ways than one!) so I was excited to take on something new. What I did not expect was the crazy amount of sweat that I had in just day 1 of this workout (when you’re dancing your face off in a bar I guess you don’t notice how sweaty you really get right?! #Wink). After day 1, I was hooked. It was not difficult to follow along to the workouts, I didn’t have to worry about remembering “what comes next” or feel like I was putting on a show and trying to know choreography, and I had a blast every day.

Overall, I’m in LOVE with Country Heat and if I ever thought I would say I completed and love an entire cardio program I would have laughed at myself. You should know that I LOATHE any and all cardio, this is the exception to my madness.

My Country Heat Results

I had really done a number on my body this summer with a lot of beer and too much pizza. Dialing my nutrition back was a pretty heavy key to this process. Was I perfect? Nope. I didn’t track containers every single day, I allowed myself pizza, and I still drank too much beer but it was less than before. Overall, I only missed 4 total workouts of the entire 30 days (2 while traveling and 1 or 2 while I was either drinking.. or hung over… Too honest? #RealLifeShit). I really did focus on making overall healthier choices, knowing what was going into my body (and I hadn’t actually competed a program since I did PiYo earlier this spring and before that, nonexistent). I was crazy bloated and feeling like a marshmallow and Country Heat was a great way for me to really get myself back on track, ease into working out again, and feel good overall.

Weight Lost: 5 pounds

Total Inches Lost: 10.5 inches (5.5 in waist, 3 in hips, & 1 in each thigh)

I am 100% hooked on Country Heat. I haven’t quite decided if I’m going to focus on another full round of this program or easily add it in with others. My goal for the upcoming months is to get that 2014 PiYo body back, but doing it the balanced way (not restricting things and the life I love).  This program iscrazy fun and so easy for anyone to follow. I think this Country Heat is great for beginners looking to put the fun into fitness or even for the regular fitness lover that wants to throw something new into the mix.
